The DB stuff has just proven to be tricky in the past because it's pretty massive and it's easy to make mistakes.

This is generally good news (save for the stingyness of the upgrade for level 71-80 coaches! ;-).

But really disappointing that it "can't" be done retroactively. Really? I just fired up Excel and made a table calculating the amount of CP that should be awarded to each coach level from 2 to 200. Took about 3 minutes. Perhaps I don't appreciate some hidden complexities, but you seriously can't do a simple "lookup the coach level, add x CP" to member's accounts??

For example, the CP I've missed out on (getting to level 51) would be 161,000. That's a huge 69% of the CP I've earned under the old system - makes me consider just starting all over again from level 1. Sure you can't just credit this to my account? Thanks. ;-)
