Introducing: The Free Agent Wire
Between our little announcement, the 3-day media monsoon that is E3 and prepping for yet another Update, the last few weeks have been worse than two-a-days in the midst of a sticky southern summer.
It’s been a bit of a march, Coaches, but we think this one was worth the effort. Kicking things off for Update 2.1 is the oft-request, long-awaited upgrade to QHF’s one-stop player shop:
The Free Agent Wire
Many of y’all have inquired about when we’d finally up the ante on available players, we’re proud to announce that the wait is over!
Gone is the measly selection of 19 players, and in its place is a selection of over 200 players, including:
- Our full roster of 100+ Legendary Players including Dan Fouts, Warren Moon, Eric Dickerson, Tony Dorsett, Joe Jacoby, Deacon Jones, Jessie Tuggle, Randy Cross, Andre Tippett and more!
- Over 100 standard “Joes,” including 1 Player of each type at every position. If you’ve been waiting for the ability to stock your WR corps with speed guys, you’re good to go!
- The all-new Return Specialist position, who will be a fully trainable player handling all Kick Return and Punt Return duties for your team.
You can now search for players via host of options like position, price and Legendary status, and we’ve also added the ability to get a look what makes these guys tick with our all-new attribute viewing system.
This feature also allows you to compare and contrast the underlying attributes of every player in the store, which means you’ll effectively be able to “scout” each player to learn the real difference between a Speed WR and a Possession WR and sign the guy who you feel is the best fit.
Just like plays, the new crop of potential game-breakers will start off as “locked” in the store, with a handful of new players becoming available for CP purchase each Level all the way through Level 50, which means that each new career milestone will give you opportunities to switch things up.
For Coaches who can’t wait to snag top talent for their team, we’ve decided to introduce a secondary currency called Quick Cash. You can view full blog on the topic here, but the basic idea is that QC will essentially allow Coaches to purchase unlockable items early, effectively overriding these Level restrictions and instantly upgrade their rosters.
Just like CP, Quick Cash can be bought at the Quick Hit Bank and offered as a prize in future Challenges and promotions.
This should give folks who want to save some time building their ideal football powerhouse some options, and will also be a great way for QHF fans to support the game, so be sure to check it out.
That about wraps it up. If you have questions or comments, feel free to sound off on the Free Agent Wire, and we’ll do our best to respond here in the comments and on the forums!
